Since transitioning to a low carb diet, I have struggled to find the perfect sweet drink that would satisfying my cravings. I used to love piña coladas, but they are high in sugar and carbs and were definitely not going to fit into my lifestyle change. Then, I discovered these awesome drink packets at HEB and decided to give them a try. I got into the kitchen, got my thinking cap on and created the most delicious drink I have ever made at home. Honestly, I like them just as much, if not better, than the high sugar version. Plus, they are so simple to make. All you need are four simple ingredients:
3 Shots of Rum
1 Cup Mooala Keto Mylk (I think a no sugar added coconut milk would work just as well)
3 Cups Ice
2 Packets Zero Sugar Margaritaville Piña Colada Mix
Optional: Whipped Cream and Strawberries
Combine all of the ingredients in your blender and mix until the desired consistency is reached. Place in a chilled glass, top with whipped cream (check out my low carb recipe here) and a strawberry. Viola, you’re done!
